Adam received his Doctor of Pharmacy from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2000).
Upon graduation, he began his career with Eli Lilly and Co., as a pharmaceutical sales representative in the Chapel Hill/Durham, NC area. By 2004, he returned home to work alongside his father, also a pharmacist, at their family Pharmacy in Elkin, NC.
